I am very happy to see that Lourdes Convent Girls Inter College stands out as the Premier Institution for Girls Education at Ghazipur city. It is highly appreciated and esteemed by the public. Credit goes to the Principal, staff and students for maintaining such a high level of standard and discipline. They are doing a commendable job and I am confident that the parents will be proud to know that their children under the able guidance of the dedicated teachers of the College will go on to become persons of grit and character and responsible citizens of our country.

Life is full of blessing as each one is a precious gift of God. I welcome the parents, teachers and students to value the greatest treasure of life with an attitude of gratitude. It is my privilege to address you to this bulletin and share my inner thoughts with you who are involved in the formation of young girls. Education of a girl is equivalent to educating 100 persons.

Education is a life-long process, training of mind, heart and giving relevant and creative information. Lourdes Convent Girls Inter College, a well-known school for the girls aims at quality education for life. It enables them to be confident, vibrant, self-reliant, independent and interdependent. A girl child is a blessing to the family, society and the world at large. She is not a burden/curse. Therefore, permit me to share a couple of thoughts.

At the entrance gate of a university, the following message was posted for contemplation. “Destroying any nation does not require the use of long range missiles …. It only requires lowering of education and allowing cheating in the examination by the students…”

• Patients die at the hands of such doctors.
• Buildings/bridges collapse at the hands of such engineers.
• Money is lost at the hands of such economists and accountants.
• Humanity dies at the hands of such religious scholars.
• Justice is lost at the hands of such judges.

“The collapse of education is the collapse of the nation.”

How true indeed! The school has a pivotal role in improving quality education in the school. Our dynamism zeal, enthusiasm, our leadership, our example, our guidance, our vision/mission, etc. are so important for the school. We can see and experience tangible results among the students when we are focused.

St. Francis de Sales said, “The heart of education is the education of the heart.” Our aim is to produce not just competent people but person with character, conscience, compassion, commitment and kindness. It is the dream of our founder Fr.A.M. Bodewig to give a dignified and respectful place for women in the society. They are the maker of our nation. I pray to the Almighty that our students turn out to be a lotus in the society though she has to bear uncountable hurdles in life as she passes through the unfamiliar roads. Lourdes Convent Girls Inter College provides an atmosphere of all round development of personality- physical, emotional, social, psychological… depicting the hard realities of life and march a head with lots of spiritual power.

The value of a teacher in a student’s life cannot be overstated. A teacher offers endless opportunity to help all students understand and achieve their full potential. They prepare and influence tomorrow’s leaders.

Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents with high expectations. Today the role of the school is not only to pursue the academic excellence but also to motivate and empower the student to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of an ever-changing global society, converting every individual to self-reliant and independent citizen. The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate we as educators need to pause and reflect on this entire system of education to motivate the ‘late bloomers’, to mold the mediocre and to challenge the “gifted” in the teaching notion.

It is highly praise worthy to observe education that is provided by Lourdes convent girls inter college. The institution has been producing marvelous results in academic, sports and co-curricular activities at state and national levels. A committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to create this school as child centric school. At present our children are dealing with the stress of the ongoing crisis different from the pressures. The school needs to create a supportive and nurturing environment and respond positively to the question and expression of their feelings. Show support and let your child know that it’s not only okay, but normal to feel frustrated or anxious at times like this. The school provides an amalgam of scholastic and co-scholastic activists.
